With many thanks to Norman Bruderhofer, I am pleased to offer to US phono collectors, his glass diaphragms for early cylinder reproducers and recorders as well as Victor Exhibition reproducers.

Newly engineered French glass diaphragms made of high quality thin glass all manufactured to the old specifications, each precisely and smoothly cut. Because of the extreme rarity of expensive, old glass stock, many restorations are made using mica diaphragms. Due to it's unique acoustical characteristics, both in recording and in playback, only glass provides a truly authentic and original sound.

Place the diaphragm between the two existing rubber gaskets, and apply some super glue or a drop of shellac to the middle of the diaphragm to attach the link carriage (Edison), stylus bar or recording stylus (Columbia). For the Victor Exhibition, simply remove the diaphragm screw, use the ballance springs to bring the needle bar as close to the diaphragm as possible, then apply a small amount of super glue around the contact point. Let dry a good amount of time, and tweak as usual. Glass gives a more natural, well rounded sound to your listening experience.
